In New Zealand Top Ten Things To Do
To be honest, my list of top ten things to do in New Zealand is extremely difficult to limit. New Zealand tour packages are my dream destination to date by far through all my journeys. Now I have been on the trip and even envisaged going there on three different occasions! It is such a beautiful place with an incredible past and culture!
The biggest thing about New Zealand is that honestly you can just drive around and be totally shocked at its beauty in all its facets. It’s green and dynamic. There are all walking paths and the people are unbelievably pleasant! Amazing numbers of sheep are also present. I’m more critical than I have seen throughout my life, more sheep are packed in this country.
Nevertheless… New Zealand is terrific. So let’s get straight to it, are we going to?
- Visit Hobbiton
Naturally, visiting Hobbiton is the first thing on my list of ten top things to do in New Zealand tour packages. This is just a responsibility! The place itself is so cool and it’s worth visiting.
The guides will take you all over the set and let you even go inside it when visiting Hobbiton! You will learn about the history of the land, cool insights into the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit films, and constructing the set itself. At The Green Dragon Inn, you will finish off the tour, enjoying some delicious food!
- Visit the Waitomo Glowworm Caves
You will pop out on the world-renowned Waitomo Glowworm cave after an amazingly curved path (bring Dramamine!). Many caves are to be found, some are on dryland and some can only be reached on guided boat tours. Both experiences are awesome! The worms are unbelievably fascinating and a lovely view! They live on the ceiling and shine a stunning blue color in these special caves. A must-see kiwi experience, surely!
- Take the TranzAlpine Train through the South Island
The TranzAlpine Train is unbelievably close to Hobbiton’s Waitomo Caves. It is so unbelievable that National Geographic has called it one of the world’s 16 best train journeys!
The train passes through the southern alps between Christchurch and Greymouth on the southern island. If necessary, Arthur’s Pass will also take a fast break!
The train is great. There are wide windows and a watching car and, naturally, a meal. Regardless of your seat, you will see incredible views! The seats are comfortable and the food was nice on the train. We’ve had a nice time!
- Visit a Hot Spring
New Zealand is a stunning geologist. I would know that! I would know! And hot springs are accessible with active geology. Indeed, throughout New Zealand, there are a number of hot springs. Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland was the one we visited and enjoyed. This is one of the many hot spots that people from around the world frequent. There’s also a geyser!
- Explore the great city of Auckland
Auckland must be on your list if you are heading to New Zealand. It’s such an exciting big city and center! The Sky Tower, the Odyssey Sensory Maze, and the Auckland Museum as well as the Sea Lifes Aquarium of Kelly Tarlton are several things to visit. They even get some late-night fun in swanky downtown casinos.
Another central hub for tours in Auckland. Here we have found our tour package to carry us to Hobbiton, the cave at Waitomo, and the thermal springs. A variety of businesses are headquartered here and during the day this is a great place to stay during the night!
- Bungy Jump in Queenstown
We didn’t really get it to Queenstown, but without it, this list wouldn’t be full. Queenstown is known for its extreme operations and is one of the most famous for bungy jumping. Skiing, water rafting, golfing, jet boating, mountain biking, skiing, sightseeing, and more are other enjoyable sports in Queenstown!
- Explore the streets of Christchurch
During our trips to Australia, we met several Christchurch people who urged us to return, and the boy valued it! Unfortunately, we visited several of the buildings still under construction after their historic earthquake (I am sure they are all rebuilt now). We might also see a variety of cool locations, like the Botanic Gardens of Christchurch, the Gondola of Christchurch, and the Container Mall RE: Start.
Possibly much of the time my husband and I have been in Christchurch in New Zealand. The town is just awesome! Actually, the day my husband suggested we traveled there and we took short pictures at the top, they turned out to be awesome!
- Cruise the Bay of Islands
The Bay of Islands is an island group on the eastern side of New Zealand’s far north district (the northernmost point). Many cruises take visitors to see the landscape, go fishing, watch dolphins, and much more. Some of the world’s finest beaches are here as well!
- Go for a hike
Honestly, you won’t be disappointed if you go on some walk in New Zealand. Throughout both islands, there are hundreds of trips. Naturally, each one is singular. Most of our hiking on South Island, on the west and the southern Alps, has been completed, but even on the northern island, I have heard great things.
- Go wine tasting in Malborough
Malborough is an area on the northern side (confusing? thinking…) of the southern island. Its picturesque views of the sound and wine tasting in Malborough are well known. This region currently produces many world-famous wines.
